Product Information
- What materials are used in your handmade items?
These unique products are crafted from vintage and upcycled materials that have lived a previous life, which means they may occasionally exhibit slight imperfections. These imperfections are intentional and part of the Milda's vision, adding to the uniqueness and charm of each piece.
By purchasing our products, you are acquiring a work of art that is one-of-a-kind. Please keep in mind that these handmade items are created with care and artistic intent, making each piece truly special. When you choose to buy one of our creations, you are acknowledging and appreciating the individuality and craftsmanship that goes into every item.
- How are your products made?
Our handcrafted pieces are made from upcycled fashion industry scraps, each one meticulously handmade and assembled by Milda. Milda Bublys is an artist and MPC Union 705 Patternmaker-Fitter living in Los Angeles. As the founder of MildaMade, she has redefined sustainable fashion, infusing artistry, spirituality, individuality, and environmental consciousness into her designs. - Can I customize my order?

Sustainability and Materials
- How does MildaMade ensure sustainability in its products?
At MildaMade, sustainability and ethical practices are prioritized in every step of the process. Here are some key aspects of this commitment:
- What percentage of upcycled materials does MildaMade use?MildaMade strives to use upcycled materials in every product, with approximately 80-95% of the materials being sourced from vintage and repurposed items. This helps reduce waste and gives new life to otherwise discarded fabrics. Occasionally, Milda will use new, purchased materials if she is unable to find anything in her stock. This may include anything, from zippers to rhinestones but is always done thoughtfully and purchased from small businesses and fair-trade merchants whenever possible.
- Is everything really handmade?
Yes, all of MildaMade's products are truly handmade but the artist. Milda uses a blend of modern machines, including sewing machines, serger machines, Cricut cutting machines, and computers with software for creating custom illustrations and graphics. These tools are combined with age-old techniques like embroidery, applique, beading, and more. This approach ensures each piece is crafted with care and attention to detail, reflecting Milda's commitment to artisanal craftsmanship. In the future, Milda hopes to collaborate with fellow artisans and craftspersons to create a wider variety of products.
- Where does MildaMade obtain its materials?
Milda sources materials from a variety of places, including thrift stores, vintage shops, and donations. Milda is always on the lookout for unique fabrics and items that can be transformed into something special. Are you interested in donating something special? Milda would love to take a look! - Does MildaMade clean salvaged materials before use?
Absolutely! Milda thoroughly cleans and sanitizes all salvaged materials before incorporating them into the products. This ensures that every piece is not only beautiful but also safe and ready to wear.
- What other sustainable practices does MildaMade follow?
In addition to using upcycled materials, MildaMade minimizes waste in the production process by repurposing fabric scraps. These scraps are used in stuffing, sewn together to create new fabric, and made into new products like the Keychain Wallet Purse found here. Milda's commitment to sustainability is reflected in every aspect of the business.

- How do I place an order?
You can do so directly from the item page by clicking the button “Add To Cart”
- What payment methods do you accept?
We offer a wide variety of payment options to make your transition smooth and easy. As some of the payment methods change over time, please be sure to scroll to the bottom header of our website to see the payment options we currently offer.
- How will I know if my order is confirmed?
Your order is confirmed once you receive an email confirmation. Please be sure to check your SPAM folder, as well as other Gmail folders if applicable. For any problems, please allow 48 hours for processing, then contact us at milda@mildabublys.com
- Can I modify or cancel my order after it has been placed?
To modify an order, please contact us at milda@mildabublys.com and explain what you wish to do. We will consider order modification options on a case by case basis. We do not offer order cancellations or returns, only exchanges.
